Larue, ITAR or not?
Who's got any larue gear and how did you get it?
Done a Google search but can't find a straight answer if it's itar or not, my brother in law is going to the states soon and want him to bring back a mount but obviously not if it's going to get him in trouble.
Any useful advice much appreciated.

@Beavis
Beavis seems to be knowledgable when it comes to this.

It depends what you want. I think scope mounts are not ITAR but pretty much every other major part is. Even the handguards come with a proprietary barrel nut so that makes it ITAR (according to the guy I emailed from LaRue). I've been told by multiple exporting companies that their stuff is some of the hardest to get out of the US.

I couldn't get anyone to export larue (a couple told me the company owner is part of the problem) so I ended up getting a mate to buy a airsoft gun over there and fit it with every possible larue part. Then shipped that to NZ. Fairly ironic as most of the supposedly real larue I have seen in NZ is actually good airsoft copy's

Haha I like your tactic.
A lot of what I have read is he is part of the problem and just has no interest in exporting.
My brother in law and family are going over later this month and his brother lives there so I have someone stateside to by and have shipped to. Wondering if he will be sweet to carry it home or better to have it sent for safety's sake

If in doubt get it shipped, no cool toy is worth risking getting your family in trouble

So frustrating how grey it is. Bastards just need a yes/no list.
The following companies have military contracts and are considered ITAR;
OR something similar.
From what I could find on the Internet, if you live in Canada your aloud itar items to the value of $500? Rest of the world, who are you?

Which parts are you looking for
I have access to some of them
Or ARMS shortly

-
And possibly other items depending on what you can get your mitts on
-
Looks like it will be ARMs just checked my emails
Have a look at this model
As far as a 1 piece base mount for standard scopes, we have a couple of different options. Our #35QD mount is a long base with multiple positions for our #35 track mount rings that are available in different heights. The #35 mount can be seen on our site at A.R.M.S., Inc. - Products - Mounts[hsh]35QD. The various heights of #35 rings can be found on the second page of our rings section on the website A.R.M.S., Inc. - Products - Rings.

The closet there is probably #72. The LT104 is a cantilever mount for my AR I'm after.
I currently have something very similar to #35 but it doesn't sit far enough forward for proper eye relief.
-
Yeah they are harmonic dampening mounts as well
Let me know if they have something of interest - will be sorting it once they back at work
-
OK thanks will have a good look into them

@faregame what would I be looking at for something like #72? Double the price there?
