Laser sight or red dot sight for .22 rifle.

I have a scope sight for my Norinco .22, but wondered about the various red dot sights, and/or laser sights I see around now and then.
    Something like this on Aliexpress.

At 72 the eyes get tired, and I'm not wanting to shoot the little buggers in the head (rabbits).
Just a general body shot is fine for me and/or the cat!
I already have a nice Martini action sporter for the fancy shooting, so I'm thinking maybe no scope on the Norinco but 'something' different.
Your experience good or bad with red dot sights, or laser sights?
    Thanks.

A red dot is good imo far better then a laser. The 22 has a pretty cricket ball trajectory so as you often get targets at different ranges needing hold over a lazer is not much use. Great on treed possums but not much else. A red dot or reflex is good, i run one on a,10/22 zeroed at 50 rabbits at 100 arent safe, a 2 moa dot is just fine, anything bigger and you loose too much target at longer range.

You can get red dot sights without a dot, but with a ring or a crosshair shaped "dot" with empty centre - so you don't obscure small targets.
