It was used on the original Redfield and Leatherwood sights by snipers in 'Nam. It worked well apparently. This actual scope got a poor review on Sniper Central though

The two most popular Leatherwood models we sell are the CMR and the Long Eye Relief (LER) models. More info about the other Leatherwood models released this year at the link below. I use a CMR on my 14.5" NEA. They are very good value.

Ive never used the ART but have sold a few to customers. They are an interesting Vietnam era solution to engaging targets.

I wouldnt buy a scope for a ranging recticle, thats what a rangefinder is for and they are far better at it.

yeah i just thought they were pritty cool, how you could just aim, turn the dial thingy & fire....ive never shot past 100mtrs....never had to.
be cool to hear from someone who has one though.......i gotta get me a bluddy rangefinder...ive never even used or looked thru 1 lol

im gonna start looking at doing some long range target shooting to get the skillz up.

its great to stretch out the ranges, it starts to get expensive tho.
range finders are great, they take the guess work out of things.

It feel awesome to knock over a thar at 450m
    - shit I cant get closer and its walking off, ah well ill just shoot him from here haha

If it is accurate then yea definitly.
Pick a High BC hunting bullet, handload or factory that shoots well
    work out your trajectry
Practice at the range, then practice some more at the range. then spend a bit more time working out if the drop chart that you use is accurate
    then go hunting.

the guy next to me was absolutly blown away
