I don't give a shit if someone takes offence at me carrying a firearm in public and then calls the cops.
They are wasting cops time, and making themselves look like fools.
If I need a crap, ill be taking my rifle with me just as the law expects me to do so.
I will never do anything to jeopardize my shooting hobby/licence.
So with me the guns come. To the general public who don't like that too bad.
Even if I have to deal with some grumpy meat head who tells me to leave the gun in the car.......
Id laugh if it wound up in court.
Use enough gun
im going to start a religion and my rifle is going to be like my burka..... my religiously important accessory that cannot be removed from my hand for fear of offending me.
Use enough gun
The law does NOT expect you to take your guns with you for a crap.
It requires that you don't leave firearms unattended in a vehicle.
There's a big difference and you are quite likely to make yourself, and by extension all shooters, look like a fucking idiot if you try to push it by taking guns where you shouldn't.
It sure does not expect me to take my guns with me when I go for a crap.
But it also says I cannot leave them un attended.
would you @systolic leave your guns in the car if you went for a crap?
Use enough gun
How much of a fucking idiot will I look if my car gets taken with my guns in it??????
The law is the law, and I intend not to break it.
Use enough gun
This seems to be a back and forth argument going on for years. I cannot site any specific cases, but I have been told that police policy, is that a loaded mag = a loaded gun (with relation to vehicles at least).
Now for another cool story, one of the local lads is getting taken to court because police are trying to go him for illegal hunting, I have talked to him about the case, and he tells me that local police have a policy, where they don't care if your rifle has an empty mag. If you have a firearm and ammunition in your vehicle, and they suspect you might be willing shoot at a deer on the road they will go you for it. His lawyer tells him that cases like that are common in this part of the country, and police offer diversion and a warning letter. They did the same to him, but I told him to fight it or he is admitting guilt. That is one mans side of the story.
a service station forecourt IS a publc place...so is a yard without a locked gate.
my guns are left in my vechile but arent unatended...my big hairy black bitch sits in car with them.....now you could reach into car and try to remove them, she MIGHT think you are ok but I be fucked if Id be willing to try it,she has bitten 4 people who looked at her sideways while in our home turf (yes Im aware how bad that is and manage it as much as we can,the day I have to put her down will break my heart)....
Yes but doesn't mean it's a good idea and they have misplaced a few over the years too, does the cop who left his glock in the beehive shitter count
You have to be sensible about the whole thing, @40mm are you honestly saying you have taken your rifle with you into a toilet, public or otherwise? Cos down here in the South no one does.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!
