Agreed. Seems to be a problem with centre fires and over-body suppressors and not with 22's.

Leaving the suppressor on one of my rifles when it was in storage for a couple months cost me a re-crown and re-threading. The muzzle had rust-welded itself to the suppressor and it was very difficult to separate them. Stainless suppressor and a stainless barrel.

I unscrew the suppressor after use, clean the muzzle and threads. Bit of anti seize on the threads, and back on before storing. Have not had any issues so far...
Yes, do not store your rifles with the suppressors on.
