    Leica 1600 B

A friend has just sent a new one back as ranging was poor. The replacement is better but disappointing against my early standard 1600. Yesterday through the light drizzel and fog I could range 1300 yds most times, 9 out of ten on various trees and rock faces . New 1600 B would struggle at 800-900, lucky to get 2 out of 10. Even when the weather cleared it was well behind my unit. Ideal conditions I can get 1990yds with the 1600 but the best we got from the B was 1450.
What ranges are people getting with the Leicas? Have I got an exceptionally good 1600 or maybe the new B model is not as good?

Very pleased with my 1600B, has plenty of grunt. I have ranged well past 1600 with it & even in light rain I can get readings of 1500-1600y ( mist & rain use to be the achilles heel of the 1200 it replaced )
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!
