    Leica Amplus 6 3-18x44i

    Leica Amplus 6 3-18x44i
Has anyone had their hands on one of these?
Looks like a great alternative to the vx6.
My eyes like leica glass. I have rated using there Binos for the last 15 years and have just recently bought the APO 65 Spotting Scope which I am well impressed with.
I had a magnus 15x scope that I sold to a forum member as it was in mils rather than yards and I was rather impressed by the glass and the rectile.
The Leica Amplus 6 3-18x44 may be worth a look given that it is in moa.
Would be interested to see how it compares to the quality of the magnus

A quick Google search shows them available in NZ.

I think the Aimplus is meant to be their 'cheaper' line vs. the Magnus.

Slapping the illumination dial onto the side focus/parallax wheel is not a good design choice, even if done right, it won't be as nice and tactile as an ocular bell illumination dial.

Looks like the elevation dial doesn't have a lock either...

I'd just get a secondhand Leica Magnus instead...
