I’ve been running the 10x32 for about 3 months now. Upgraded from the original swaro EL rangefinder binos.
Went to the sika show last year specifically to have a play with these and the latest from swaro. Spent the best part of the day going back and forth between the two.
Went with these in the end as they have the applied ballistics in them and the ability to hold up to 30 load profiles. Swaros we’re limited to 3 at a time and I run quite a few different loads in different rifles so that put me off a bit.
In saying that the Swaros displayed the range and dope calculations a lot quicker and we’re very nice as expected.
Things I really like so far:…. the size, super compact and much lighter than most comparable models. They’re supposed to have a better class of laser in them than previous models to operate better in rain etc. this seems to be true for me as I’ve been able to range out to 1300m no worries in descent rain. Ranging seems to be relatively easy out to about 2000m. Have got readings out as far as 2300m on big objects. In terms of glass,Was told by the Leica rep the glass comes from the same factory as the Swaros and to my eyes there was very little difference. If I had to choose, maybe the Swaros had a slight edge but not sure with limited use.
Be aware that you pay and extra $250 for the ‘pro’ version of applied ballistics to get solutions beyond 800m as well.
Hope this helps!
