Anyone had repairs at the factory. Just wondering what to expect. Have sent in photos.
My spotter fell over and broke in half. Do they give quotes?

Yes they give quotes.
Sent a work pair of binoculars into a dealer.
A bit odd as quoted £300 odd (HDR 2700 Rangefinding Binos) for repair as they had taken quite a beating.
After saying 'OK, go ahead' they came back saying the repair was FOC?!
Not got them back yet so the story isn't over yet.
I'd send them into a dealer as postage+insurance to Germany or Portugal will be spendy. Let them handle it.
Bad luck about yr spotter Brian, hope you can get it fixed.
Leica also have a complete "factory" or repair shop in the US. They fixed my bino's in pretty quick time for me and sent them back FOC.
Yeah I've filled in the form for the agent here Just waiting to hear from them.
I sent a pair of compact binos to the NZ Agent and had to pay $90 for postage and packaging, which seemed a little high but somewhat understandable. Lacklands sent them to Europe and any updates to their whereabouts was posted on their website. A couple of months later they came back like new. No further payment was requested. The service provided buy Leica and Lacklands was great and made me feel pretty good about the decision to spend good money on the binos in the first place.
My understanding at the time was that any additional repairs would be quoted before the reassembly would be started. That's a pretty standard policy for most OEM's.
Glue back together inside PVC pipe.Just check out for foot and knobb
Bugger!
Leica said a discontinued model, no parts so cant be fixed.
