    Leica repairs

    Are Lacklands still the NZ agent for Leica? My 2000b Rangefinder has developed a frustrating intermittent button fault. No longer under warranty I don’t think.

    Made contact with Lacklands and have had a response. I’ll send it away. The $150 before it is even sent away and looked at is a bit of a kick in the guts though

    Before contacting Lacklands I emailed Leica in Germany and got a price to do the work. Lacklands are shipping it for me.

    I sent my geovids to Lacklands a couple of years ago to get a broken focus knob fixed when I dropped them, was was expecting a decent bill as well. They were sent to Austria for repair, got them back and they did it all for free without charging me for freight was good dealing with them.

    Spoke with Lacklands today, they're sending a shipment for repair to Leica tomorrow, 16 week turnaround!
