But the best sling I have had so far was a 1" nylon shoulder strap off a sports bag. Same idea as tussock's but find leather stays wet much longer than nylon and can stretch and distort out of shape , and is heavier.
The bag strap had a slide adjuster so length could be adjusted in seconds and just looped it through the swivels and used the plastic loop through buckle things at each end to secure the straps.
Light , fast adjustment , water resistant and flexible with no bounce.

Your bag strap is the same as my piece of nylon strap with the rolling hitch.

Mine was a cheap tie down strop with the hook cut off.
