Hi
Yes pretty straight forward last time I did one
You pay freight think it was $60 ish last time
Just send through local shop back to the agent
Repaired in Aussie so took 7 odd weeks to get back
As above, can take a few months but can't fault end result. I sent two, one to be repaired after I tried to fix something that wasn't broken, and another which had a hard life, to get refurb which I was happy to pay for.
Broken scope came back fixed.
Refurb scope didn't come back. It got replaced with a similar magnification Vx3 at no charge, a big upgrade due to the original no longer being in production.
You basically just have to ask nicely at you local Leupold dealer and they take it from there.
I have one I need to send back, please let me know who you tee it up with as I would be keen to get in touch with them and send mine as well, hopefully they can package them together and we can share postage. I talked to my hunting and fishing, they didn't want to know about it as I didn't buy the scope from them.
I ,have an older 4x leupold to send away my local H and F said no problem but they ( leupold ) will sock you freight
my best scope is older 4x m8 that previous owner sent back..he bought replacement while it was away and sold it when it came back....its super clear and functions perfectly....

Any shop that buys from the agent is technically a authorised leupold dealer
And should help you out
If not shoot the agent a email (nz asia) address is on the leupold website
Under international dealers
And they should be able to point you in the direction of a helpful local shop
Or help directly get it to the repair agent in Aussie or USA
They are good to deal with
Down this way rivers to ranges is happy to sort it out
Most ahops can take it but they will charge your freight or wait until the rep comes and picks them up. Juat e.ail to nz asia and send direct to them one less hand it goes through is one less chance of a fuck up.

I sent a scope back this year to the USA Leupold factory for repair. It cost about $40 for the airmail there. Leupold paid for the return postage. The whole process from sending to receiving took about 3 weeks and cost the airmail to the factory of about $40.
thanks very much guys very helpful cheers
