Leupold CDS scope Qn about turret.

I'm thinking of replacing a scope I have for a lighter Leupold 3-9×40.CDS Freedom. Current scope is
good and doing the job but these are a good price and abt 90g lighter and marginally better optics.

Rifle is 30.06 mainly used deer hunting in a variety of situations. But mostly in Forrest ambushing. (Sit & wait)

I don't need the CDS option as rare I shoot over 150 yards.
My concern is there is no cover over the turret.

I understand you can zero rifle in normal way, then set the turret to zero. So it could easily be bumped changing the settings, possibly without realising.

    Should I be concerned?
Hunt safe, look after the bush & plug more pests. The greatest invention in the history of man is beer.

A bit more bang is better.
