    Leupold VX-5HD

I have one of these in 3-15 x 44 CDS-ZL2 side focus, duplex.

Pretty much a great all round scope for my needs, but no matter how carefully i carry my rifle the parallax dial always moves (LH side of scope)... its like it moves too freely or something?
Probably brushing against my gloves or sleeve in my left hand or against my hip in my right hand.

Does anyone else have the same issue with their VX-5 ?
It's not a major but its bloody annoying....

I would say it doesn't really matter. For a quick shot say 200 or less it's not going to make a difference. Longer shots when it really matters you take the time to range, dial and adjust as required.

@Sika 8 have one with same issue. I have talked to NZ Asia about it, they advised it will need to sent back its not a in house fix.
My other vx5 i had had a firm paralax so i have been able to compare the two

Yeah I haven’t talked to NZasia about it, but I did talk to Leupold USA and they said there wasn’t anything to adjust to make it “tighter” and that was that.

It’s not the end of the world as I said, but it is annoying to have to wind back to say 100yds when it’s wound itself out to the “infinite” symbol.

I agree it is annoying for same reason, I am going to get mine sorted but prefer a rep from NZ asia when in town has a quick look before removing from rifle so if i give my rifle a chop i will send scope back same time

Thanks for the comment Bigbear, it’s good to hear that it’s not just me being fussy and that it’s a “thing”
