    Thanks for the replys, going to go with the 3.5-10x40, had a look at the place suggested cant see any scopes there?, any one else got any suggestions where to get a good price?

    Try Reloaders Supplies in Onehunga. Always good on Leupold prices; just ask for a quote. They can usually supply within a day if not in stock.

    I think you will be a happy man, I had used fixed 4x and 3-9 for years and went to the 4.5-14 thinking it wouldn't make much difference in the bush and extend my range.... you can get by with 4.5 in the bush but it is slow to get on target and as above sometimes its a scope full of brown/red and you dont know which bit you are looking at. less than 4 is the go in the bush, 3 is good 2 is great.
