Quick question, I have a leupold vx3 4.5-14x40, pre cds. My question is, can I get a cds dial made for this model? Otherwise the thought had popped into mind on a new scope.

I don’t think a CDS will fit but Leopold did make another dial that will retro-fit. Can’t remember what they called it.
You can have a cds retrofitted to your scope.
It might take between one or two months. Contact nz Asia the importer and they can sort that out for you.

S1 dial, I have one on my VX3 2.5-8. I think the mil version is S some other number.Quote:

NZ Asia who are the NZ agents for Leupold send it to NIOA who are repair agents in Australia.
They’ll put on a CDS dial for you as I’ve had 3 scopes through them now (2 x VX3 & 1 x VX2 friction dial) as the Leupold custom shop in the states I believe is still under renovation
I sent my VX3i away to have this done as the S1 dial is no longer available - cost about $300 and took about 4 - 6 weeks - now has thr ZL1 locking CDS turret (get 15MOA of adjustment or 1 rotation)
