Thread: Leupold VXIII 2.5-8 /1.5-6 Reticule

A while a go I purchased a VXIII 2.5-8 (duplex). A nice scope but I find the duplex reticule very narrow to look through (by this I mean the thin lines in the duplex appear much smaller/shorter than they do in say, a VXII 2-7x33).

Not being happy with the 2.5-8, following a recent gun purchase I ordered a 1.5-6 (hoping it would be better). It arrived today and it is far worse - it is just like looking through a key hole (between the thick bars) with a cross in the middle.

A bit disappointed.

Has anyone else experienced the same - or have a different reticule in theirs (if so what is it - I am thinking of getting mine changed)?

I have, in VXIII, a 1.5-5x, a 3.5-10x and two 4.5-14x's, along with a couple of VXI and VXII 2-7's (all with Duplex reticules) and they are all great.
