Pm Bryan he has sent his away to be done think it has taken ages though
yes it can be done, had my vx 3 done threw nz Asia. It took months and not just one or two of them!
If I ever did it again i would send it direct to leupold myself.

Man im still waiting on my cds dial to arrive.
Im concerned the boat may have hit a reef and sunk
I finally ordered my custom dials for the Burris C4 last night. Hopefully not long.
As for the VX3, have you tried Kenton Industries for custom dials or even Stoney Point??????
I'm probably missing something, but can't see the big deal with CDS.
To dial accurately, you need to know the distance, so you're more than likely going to be using a range finder, right ? Once you have the range, you need to dial the appropriate number of clicks.
So just work out a dope chart for the distances you are likely to shoot, laminate it and stick it to the side of your stock... Easy as to do this if you shoot different loads (general hunting, varmint, subs) thru the same gun.
Sure, it's nice to have CDS, and I can understand if you get it as an option when buying a new scope, but is it really worth sending a scope away for months and paying shipping etc ?
Also, unless CDS is in MOA or MILS, if you change your load you need new turrets... Even if you shoot with the same load on an unusually warm day or at big altitude difference from where you zero, the CDS dial is not going to be accurate...

most people get the cds in moa or mill ebf.
makes a nice low profile turret.

As Camo said, I recently got an elevation MOA CDS turret installed. I sent this via NZ Asia (Seemed the correct thing to do as they are the NZ distributors). Sent it away in June last year and was told 6-8 weeks, so I assumed that meant 8-12 weeks, WRONG, It took almost 6 months to come back.
Biggest problem I had was the lack of communication and the fact that when I contacted them they didn't seem to know where my scope was. They thought it was lost in transit for a while.
Was also quoted $120-130NZD for the turret (including shipping) but when it returned the cost was $180. Over the loooong time the scope was away the price had increased, not impressed. But just wanted my scope back and payed the inflated price, plus I didn't want the local hunting store to be out of pocket for NZ Asia's bullshit.
Dial works great though and am glad I have it, but will be buying the next scope with the CDS turrets already installed.
Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction
I ordered a vx6 with what I thaught with a cds turret on top, turned up without it and just the card for the free turret in the box
highly unimpressed but thats what you get for ordering from usa over the phone
thats got the CDS dial fitted from factory like the one I have should have been, but turned up without it.
it also should have a card in the box for a free turret that you can choose the drop on for 1,2,3,4,5 hundred meters
moa is the best till you have your load sorted, or like me tend to change loads from time to time
I had a similar experience when getting M1 turrets put on my VX3. After 4 months I e-mailed Luepold with the serial No and a discription of what I was having done asking for a progress report - got a "nice" e-mail back stating that the work was done on such and such date. Saw date and thought WTF, thats a month ago. Apparently was waiting to be shipped with NZ Asia's main order. Went to local shop and he chased it for me - had it 2 weeks later.
