    Lighter mid range scope

So I've picked up my mid range rifle here in W.A I wanted a Bergara In 6.5x55 but had to settle for a 6.5 CM, now they are well built, great trigger very accurate but quite beefy through the action, maybe why they shoot so well, I bought a Burris FF 4-16 with the CM reticule, outstanding scope for the $$,s but its a heavy carry through the receiver area, it's a 21 ounce scope I was thinking if I loose 8 ounces of the that it will be a much nicer carry. So whats the best lightweight buy? a Vixen, Swarovski or other, anything with 9 power minimum would work ok.

    Thanks

The cheaper VX Freedom 3-9x40 CDS is 12.2 ounces

GPO Passion 4-12. Imported they are as cheap as chips. A nice little dial-able turret under the caps - they come with a 6.5 CM ballistic replacement dial (amongst other calibers). Good glass. Dial reliably. For me, a better option than leupold VX3. I put one on my grandsons .243. Its a laser.

Yep grabbed one to try as I could get next day delivery, lovely little scope, can also drop in ring height and not need the cheek riser so I've lost over 12 ounces and what a big difference in balance as well. I've got a 30 mill scope on the 22.250 which weighs a ton that will be the next to be swapped out.

Vx3(2.5-8 sort of thing) if you want to save max weight
Vx6 2-12 is what i settled on for my do all. No side focus or illumination

I’d do a firedot if I got to do it again rather than my current b&c but it works sort of for how I hunt

Just doing final zero check on my Burris 2.5-10x42 yesterday.Think my next scope will have to go up 16x.Eyes getting bit old.Scope fine retical 10mm wide on 9x,so covers nearly half of center of 22mm diameter dot.
