    Lightweight longrange scope options?

Looking for a lightweight scope for my Sako Carbonlight in 7mm Rem Mag for shooting out to 1000yds. Still looks like either a March 2.5-25x40 / 50 or the Leupold Vx5/6 3-18x44 are really the only contenders that are light, reasonable glass with exposed turret adjustments. Anything else worse considering?

VX5/6 or Z5 be my choices, have all three and all capable and proven lightweight hunting scopes

Z5 has limited elevation if you want to run a zero stop.

Yeah Z5 will only get you to around 800max, but they are light. All the other decent proper made Euro stuff weighs a ton, the new Z8's are beautiful but fark are they heavy
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Is the VX6 much of an improvement over the VX5?

In my opinion for a hunting scope that you are going to dial with anyhow, duplex, windplex, and B&C is about as busy as you want your reticle to be, TMOA would possibly be an option if you were really against dialling but other than that it's just a whole heap of clutter for no real gain

I don't know the weight but I have a Zeiss HD5 5x25 for sale or swap. been out to 1000 with Remmag and 260 with it easy. Zero stop limits to about 800 also if you fit it.

Don’t get the 40mm obj March, it’s rubbish compared to the 52mm obj version.

Maybe the Tangent Theta 3-15x50 (TT315M) - not as light as the March or VX5/6. And expensive now. Still pissed off with myself for selling the one I had...

    Leupold Mk 6 3-18 with M5C3 turret.

    Bushnell LRHS 3-12 or 4.5-18
If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more
