Lightweight new or used scopes vx5/6 vs Swarovski vs March thoughts

I'm going to buy another scope for a rifle I've got sitting in safe with no scope on it (maybe even 2 scopes ... never have to many rifles a, ),it's been like that unused for a while now so in no rush and unlike me who just rushes out to buy the latest thing as soon as its out i will try wait for something second hand to pop up as I've just spent to much of late on new gear
.I've just bought a new swaro z5+i 2-25×56 and absolutely love it now sitting on a 7mmprc
Im thinking something around the 3-18 or 3-15 mark
Around looking to spend around 1000 to 2500 used . I have 30mm rings so that's a bonus if it was 30mm .it's going on a back up file .
My main purpose would be to have a good quilty light weight scope for my backup rifles that may get changed between a few rifles over time .

What's everyone's thoughts I've never owned or used a vx 5 or 6 and the March looks also a big contender also ? But again no experience with them ?
    Any models to avoid ?
I own a Swarovski z3 and z5+i and do like them both and before I add to the swaro collection I just thought I'd make sure that's the right thing .

Or should I be considering anything else ? Zeiss ? Vortex?

Is there a preference for ffp or not?.
I'm considering a vx5 or possibly vx6 but I like ffp solely for the reason the reticle enlarges with zoom.

I'm also considering a Burris ffp illuminated.

    I have Z5,Z6,VX5 and Zeiss, I’d go with VX5

Not sure I've used anything but ffp ?
I love my original burris fullfield 2 3x9 scope and would buy another in a heartbeat .have one on a 22mag and just cant kill it . But I find there bigger stuff just a tad bulkey /heavy

Much same money as Z5, BT is 100 times better on VX5

I’ve owned z3/z5/z5i and now swapped to vx5, similar on low light and way easier to see through, better turret, only con swaro has leupold well and truly beat on reliability so it’ll probably cost me one day

I have a swaro z5 3.5-18x44 I'd sell if you were interested. It's just on a spare rifle so not quite necessary

    I would second meathunters Z5 3.5 x 18 x 44 , these are a very versatile optics with good light gathering,not to much bulk or weight .
A better option I belive over the leuppy.
If fitted with ballistic custom turret far more versatile than factory BT from swaro. Can use on anything from a .222 to your 6.5 prc.
Apologies I meant , Madkeenhunter not meathunter.
