Lone peak Razor ti barrel thread

Mate has one of these in 7mm Blaser mag.
    Components are ridiculous.

Maybe he's better off rechambering to 7mmrm or rebbareling to 300wm or 300wsm.

Tenon thread is 1 1/16"x16 tpi.

Is this "same as Tikka" thread ? In order to rebbarel at reasonable cost?

    Ta

Yes I thought they were same as REM700 for tenon thread. He might be better off going 7mmPRC once brass is available here.

You could buy a tikka rem mag and keep hunting for the $$$$ the whole changeover is going to cost him

Park the lone peak up and use rem mag until blaser mag components are found

    Then sell rem mag tikka

No disruption to his hunting then

I’m often shooting sika 1100-1200 yrds with the rem mag so the 7blaser park up won’t hurt his hunting success during the wait time

The gunsmithing costs / costs of selling and buying something else probably isn't worth it.

What is there that is more expensive than more common cartridge's? Dies and brass?
Its probably not a rifle youre going to go blast 50 goats with in a weekend.
So I reckon it be better just adding enough brass to the stables for the life of the barrel especially if he already has dies. Problem solved.

    I have a 7mm blaser mag improved
I have a 162 ELDX doing an easy 3000 fps
The cases get like 15 loads easy as...although I do anneal them each time

I suspect the real problem is people loading up to the absolute max and getting minimum case life

Back the loads off....can only kill a deer once

you will get way better case life

Nah thanks mate, I doubt he'd be keen. Probably he'll just bite the bullet and buy the 12$ each brass and live with the heavy long Canon

Oofff. I can see why you're considering your options at 12 bucks each.

At that price from brass, I would get it chambered in 7rm and carry on till 7 prc becomes popular enough that components and ammo are in most local shops. Then consider rechambering or rebarreling depending on rounds counts.
