    Low profile 30cal suppressor

Who makes a muzzle forward low profile (35mm max diameter) centre fire suppressor that works?

Application is my old BSA Cadet Martini Action in 32-20..I'm using an aperture rear sight and retaining the front blade sight so need to see the top of the blade, 5mm is enough.

    Thread is14×1mm
Max velocity is 2200fps. Lowish pressures.
Needs to accommodate up to ⁹.312 diam projectiles

    DPT don't/won't.
Probably cost prohibitive to go custom.

    Cheers
I know a lot but it seems less every day...

    Would a pistol suppressor work?
Someone with more experience might be able to say if this is bad idea or not.
I know more powder charge and gas volume in 32-20 is more but its only single shot. I'm assuming if they are stout enough to handle high volume of fire from a pistol it should be okay for your application.
They are more expensive than centrefire suppressors tho.

Gunworks have done a 35mm diameter one for years - that was their "original" size before they went bigger. It's 13.5 inches so not quite a metre long
I am pretty sure they would do a custom length one if asked

Ok thks, I'll talk to them. Its a 17in barrel..30.5in total might be a bit much. May have to consider a taller front sight blade

Gunworks one is overbarrel. I don't think they do a muzzle forwards.
And pistol suppressor would be 9mm obviously. But i just realized they might not have M14 as a thread option.

45mm diameter seems to be the common OD for centrefire muzzle forwards.
Both sights would need to be raised.

Do you have a friend with a lathe who could ream out an old 22cal RF suppressor and rethread to 14mm?

I would say you are looking custom

Even titanium or inconel ODL cans have a small 38.2mm diameter.

Why not put a foresight on the can? The can screws up to the same spot each time, so it shouldn't move once you have worked out where the right place is. I've been meaning to make something up along the lines of a ring bored to the diameter of the can, with a blade foresight attached and a couple of set screws to hold it in place.

Try Waitaki Engineering. They do excellent muzzle foreword cans in stainless steel, bit heavy but work well in.

Shotgun suppressors are often off-centre, I have seen the occasional custom off-centre suppressor for bailguns too.

Gunworks suppressor should fit under front sight,if not fit a higher one.

For lightweight muzzle forward or overbarrel suppressors check out Greg Maniatis Gunsmiths in Christchurch. https://www.gunsmiths.co.nz/
I’ve had several brands and size and Greg does the best IMO. He will do an over barrel / muzzle forward to fit your configuration and available space.
