    m14 mounts

    Hey team,

bought a scope mount for my M14 some time ago, finally got around to mounting it.

Lines up reasonably ok but there is a slight issue. The elevation is "considerable". when i took it apart to investigate i think I've found the issue, the rear point of contact, where you drift out the stripper clip feeder, is off and when you put it together it pulls it considerably out off line, hopefully the photo below gives an idea.

    ANY sensible ideas.....

was thinking of making a shim at the rear, somehow tapping into the rear aspect of where the stripper clip was and then screw through and into the shim????? OR do i epoxy it in somehow???
