    Hey Guys,

Any ideas what the crest is on this rifle? I thought potentially Turkish with the crescent?

    Yep, Turkish mauser M1888 (GEW88).

Good info here. Might be a bit of a lemon tho.

The rifle is an 88, which means that:

    iT IS NOT A MAUSER!
A good shot at close range beats a 'hit" at a longer range.

I don't understand why it would be a lemon?

because of ammo pressures. And of original corrosive ammo I guess.

Comes with all relevant reloading gear including 200 .318 hunting projectiles.

    .323 can be swaged anyway...

A bit over priced. That mount looks a bit agricultural/military K98 on that age of rifle. You would need to check it was centered over the bore too, plenty out there have been put on incorrectly. Would of suited a claw mount more. But if you like it then go for it.
