Any one ever shaved the primer end of a M tikka mag to make it longer. New to me Tikka and just loaded some rounds and M mag too short

Yup ive dont half a dozen of them. I just cut the factory spacer out, make a new shorter one for more coal, make a new follower and reposition the follower spring to function as it should. Its not going to win any prizes for best looking modification but sure as shit works well. Can seat the 162 amax way out there in 7mm08 now.

Just cut the faff out and get an AICS conversion installed if you want to run longest possible COAL on 6.5CM/308 family cartridges out of a T3.
