    MagnetoSpeed Chronograph

anyone imported one of these as yet . fantastic looking device and not light dependent . i have a CED and find differing light gives vastly different readings from sun to A CLOUD CROSSING THE SENSORS.tried to get one on a group by the other day but sadly the US company wouldn't ship to NZ

The MagnetoSpeed uses electromagnetic sensors (patent pending) to detect the presence of the bullet. These sensors are immune to muzzle blast, which allows the sensors to be located near the muzzle. As an added benefit, these sensors are immune to common light problems such as fluorescent lights, low sun, bright sun, etc.

Our unique method determines velocity by sensing the difference in time between a slight disturbance in two magnetic fields as the bullet passes by. This is somewhat similar to the way that an electric guitar senses the vibration of its strings to produce amplified tones. reading

Readbang got one ages ago but has yet to enlighten us on it performance. Get IR screens for your CED and you can shoot in the dark with no influences.

Yes, but best to keep out of direct sunlight across the sensors, same as normal. Only way to get accurate results with a CED IMO.

Had one for ages, pre-ordered it

They work very well, you just need to be careful on how you mount them to the barrel.

Seems to be pretty accurate against the Oehler 35P.

They can tend to upset the barrel harmonics & effect accuracy on the thinner barrels.

I used it in this video & it moved the poi over to the right at 2050 yards even with the heavy barrel.

I like the way you can use it anywhere, anytime, rain or shine, you don't have to have a crono set up in front of you.

Yep, I reckon they are a great bit of kit, speeds match pretty well with previous CED results, but way simpler and easier to use. Quicker to set up, works well with brake or suppressor. 5 stars from me

Still have the CED with IF screens and ordinary screens, if anyone wants to make a sensible offer ? ? complete with CED bag. . .

I think they fixed that with the V2 which is the one I have.

Small, portable & easy to set up.
