I shortened the bolt stop in mine,It is of the hollow variety.
used a hack saw and then files to get it to the length I was after. then tigged a blob on the end and filed it to shape,
just like a bought one. find a welding shop and get them to do it if you dont have access to a welder.(tig best for this fiddly stuff also wont heat up the bolt stop too much)
I swapped the magazine for a long action mag when i bought the rifle too but found it didnt feed too flash so pulled the magazine apart
and glued in a plastic block (nylon from memory) at the but of the mag which made it somewhere between a medium action and long action.
my goal was to get the longer 140s hanging out of the case (.260) enough in order to fit in enough powder to get them moving.
went 260 over 6.5x55 because I had lots of lapua 08 brass.
now shes a great wee shooter.
have taken deer to 500 yds
and wallabys to 560 yds so far.
just missed a wobbly at 750 the other day, was a shame.not for the wallaby though I spose.
