    Maniatis Suppressors

Hi, just thought id throw out a mention as i have just upgraded my rifle suppressors from DPT to Maniatis Quad Core Suppressors... i orginally just did my .270 n found such a massive improvement in sound n tecoil that i ordered another one for my .243... can also put a brake on the tip to reduce recoil even more... just putting in my 2 cents as i found these are amazing and very well priced

I had one bought second hand on my .223 an alpine lite from memory.
Was noticeably louder than my DPT, and went from 10rnds sub moa to 2 moa on a good day. It was second hand though. When I spoke to Greg about it he was very quick to blame my shooting and rifle. He even blamed the my gunsmith for sizing the bushing wrong. Did not seem to want to take any responsibility at all. I screwed my DPT back on (had them both at the range) and immediately back to sub moa.

This was a couple of years ago now so he may have improved. The experience put me off buying another one though

I get 1/4moa @ 100 with my 300 saum running the maniatis, but as i said previous... i removed the rear bush entirely, with it on, i was getting cobweb groups from a man eating spider.

100% interesting people are comparing it to a dpt.
Dpt is a average suppressor for dB reduction but the manitiats has the worst measured sound reduction of our Nz suppressors buy a fair bit.

Yeah to be honest I think all the suppressors are “good enough” for the average hunter and average shooting situation. Dpt just seem to be better at offering an overall package, not the lightest, not the quietest, not the shortest, not the cheapest but very hard to beat overall unless you have a niche requirement such as ultra lightweight or ultra tough etc.

Dpt, gun works, hardy all seem normal enough and friendly enough people to deal with as well which helps

I always find it hard comparing gear. I have an early gen Maniatis suppressor and it's rubbish compared to a newer DPT.

But then I find the new one I got from him for a different rifle to be brilliant compared to slightly older Hardy I had.

Newer generations of tech and development will generally outperform the older stuff, that's why we keep spending our beer vouchers on new and expensive toys instead.

Honestly I wouldn't give a single dollar to maniatis.. heard some shocking stories and seen first hand very unprofessional behaviour
