    Just making the point that when calculated in “hours labour” many of our modern toys, tools and necessities are significantly cheaper to purchase than 40 years ago.

    There are exceptions eg milk at 4c/pint!
    About 1/2 what I paid for my first computer a year, maybe two, later.

    Interesting the chaimberings though.
