Thread: MANNLICHER Rifle add from 1979

I can remember a guy buying a Mannlicher back in about 1980/81-ish; he paid $3000 for it. I was earning about $80 a week as an apprentice back then. I bought a new Ruger M77 .270 at about the same time and it cost me $434.... I can remember because my mum hit the roof...... Bought it from Sutherlands in NP. Put a deposit down on it; took it home and drove to NP every friday night to pay my regular payments on it!

paid $450.00 for my model L in 1979 with a vari-x 2 2-7 x 33 on it, looks like I got a good deal, it's still in the safe.
