    March 3-24x42 inbound!

After the longest spending famine I've ever put myself through, I've lashed out and bought myself a March 3-24x42. It's hopefully going to be here on the weekend but I'm still going to have to wait a bit for a good one piece mount (looking at the angled spuhr that has a spirit level in the base). Very keen to get back into steel shooting after a woeful round on Saturday which was my first shoot after the Auckland gong shoot.

Has anyone else had a look through one of these yet? I had a good look at NF, Steiner but decided on March 'cause they're an Aussie company and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Anyway I'll post up some pics when It arrives. BTW Stuart is an absolute legend to deal with (it was nice to hear a full on Aussie accent like mine haha). If anyone else is wondering if they should take the plunge then now is a good time to do it. The exchange rate is the best its ever been and the American dollar is weak az. I was surprised how affordable this actually was.

Here's me with my 'soon to be' previous scope. I'll probably bung that on my pug 10/22 'cause its still an FFP, it'd be nice to keep all my scopes in one format if I can.

March are from Japan bro. Stewart is the only rep down these ways and in Brisbane. I am toying with selling my 2.5-25 Hunting model at the moment. Just not sure what to replace it with.

It is pretty mint as it is only mounted on my rifle when I am wanting to shoot (blaser saddle mount, and lives in my pack most of the time) It is only just over a year old wrapped in camo bandage so will be around 2200ish.
Comes with Alumina caps as well.

That’s tempting. Poor timing though Dave….I’ll be paying for Abe’s VX6 this week.

Not sure the minister of finance will approve two scopes…

Mmmm March scopes are very nice!

TBH I will be in no great hurry to sell it. It does pretty much all I need, apart from having an illum ret. I want one for sure on my next scope.

Very likely it will still be available in a couple months JP as I cant decide on a suitable replacement.

Stay out of the Saddle or the Landing for a few nights and you will save in no time

    I have the 3-24x42.
Very nice scope, great zero stop, dials and adjustments.
I went for the fine MOA reticule and am glad I did.
I think you will be happy with yours!

I chose not to go illuminated on mine and am happy without it so far.
I have a nightforce with illumination that I use for foxes at night in the UK but don't think I'd use it for general hunting purposes.
If you do chose to go for the illuminated option, get the lower powered illuminated unit (March offers a high and low illumination option)...If you do actually need it in a situation, then a faint glow is all that you will need and anything more will actually obscure the target with flare around the crosshairs.

How do you fiind the reticle up close on 3? That was my only worry with it being FFP and using it up close in the bush

If you hold out till may March have a new 2.5x24x52 model coming out way better in low light than the 42 model
