I'm down to these three choices: NF BEAST, March 5-40x56 FFP, & TT 5-25x56. Always avail myself others experiences and that's what I'm asking here. I've got a Premier Heritage 5-25x56 GenII Mildot and it's unlikely I'll ever be without it, but things have changed in the Premier ownership/models, etc. I'll be flying out to see what's available down in Fairbanks next month and hopefully look through these scopes; in the mean time would you share your experiences please?
Tangent Theta have employed the same people from Premier IIRC and have supposedly improved the Heritage line. I have dealt personally with Paul Lange when he was Premier and could not recommend him more. I hope TT customer service remains the same.
I have a March 2.5-25 and its good but not in the league of the 3-15 LT Premier I have. I have not tried the NF. Not exactly apple with apples but my dollars would go with TT.
That is great news as I have dealt with Paul Lange and he is personable, prompt, and unquestionably knowledgeable when it comes to Premier. Prices here (in USD) are: NF 3300, March 3500, and TT 4000. I really like the lever locks on my Premier--and the "door" knobs they're on--the easier to use with gloves on. Then there's the dependability, repeatability, and what clarity! Although I'm curious as to why you have excluded the S&B?
In saying that, the glass in my old Heritage was definitley better than my PMII.
May I suggest a test when one compares--side by side and same test panel--scopes? Not sure it will reproduce here well, but if it does print it out and use it as a test panel. Fairness--objectivity--can only be assured if there's but one "tester" focusing on the same panel, same distance, same time, etc. Write what you see just as you see it at any range indoor or outdoor; as long as the scopes you're comparing are all together at once you may or may not notice differences. Most importantly: another s eyes may see brand x clearer than brand e and you could see the opposite. For me this is a necessary exercise when buying a scope. Here goes:

Didn't work I see. So make a cross-hairs: letters (not in order so it's predictable) up and do the same horizontaly using numbers, again not chronological. Then beginning at the outside in each plane resize largest and diminishing in size as the center is approached. There's your test panel.
I looked through a pair of march scopes at the sika show, and I was not impressed by the image distortion on the outside edge of the glass. With the test you suggest above, I would be interested to see what the march comes out like?
The reticle was a duplex on them, which I guess is kind of ok if the center picture is true, but if using the bottom dots of a mil reticle for exemple, that might not be the best.
What do you march owner think of that?
