Thread: Marks on scope tube from rings

Hi All

After removing my scope from the REM700 Sendero rifle to send it off for a muzzle brake, I noticed a small mark/dent from one of the rings. I have read allot of contrary comments all over the web and I am wondering what the locals think.

scope is a Sightron 30mm tube, rings where Leupold QWR (30mm ) at the time, all tightened with a wheeler FAT WRENCH as per written torque specs. All sitting on a Warne 20MOA Rail

The dent is only just notable with a thumb rub, faint wear marks on the ring edges.

Should I be concerned about this?, is this normal? Thoughts and comments please
