Thread: Marlin 22, issues!

Been having issues with my Marlin Papoose (695) same rifle. Love this little set up, weighting in at toy weight, incredibly handy little takedown rifle. The way I have this is set up, I don't lose zero when taking down, it is not a long distance set up, but being a semi is great for fast bunnies, possums and even shorten up several pigs, point blank.
Problems with ejection sorted, problems with feeding, dumb bugger seems I had forgotten some basic likes of the Marlin.

Consulted Mudgrips, off this forum, who has much experience with Marlins and we went back to basics, process of elimination.
Final thought was ammo so CCI mini mag and subsonic. The rifle never missed a beat.

I was about to suggest you try him for all wisdom relating to maxtoch and Marlin......

Owned a lot of semis but not a marlin. Ive found once a good functioning one starts giving problems its time for a good clean. Strip the bolt down and I just soak everything in degreaser and blow off with air reaasemble with minimum lube. I also have a bent mop that I put some hoppes or something on and just poke it into the chamber.
