    Marlin 30-30 value

I have a marlin 30-30, model 336 CS, it’s been my pig hunting rifle, been carried for more than 10 years and had 2 rounds through, so cosmetically is a little rough, blueing worn off a lot of the action, but functions will.
I am thinking about selling it, no dogs anymore so no need for it.
Any idea of what it’s worth please?

Post pictures up. If it's JM stamped marlin(pre remington) it'll be worth more. Without pics it's hard to get a fair idea of what it's worth.
Keep it simple- hand me a model 7 7mm08 and I'll be right

I sold my mint JM Marlin with Leupold scope, some ammo, reloading components and dies for $1750. Purchaser was a good dude so happy with price for a rifle and bits I had no use for.

also sold my JM with a loopy for $1250 hadnt been thrashed or abused paid $750 for it as a bare (as it was issued from factory) rifle

so I'm picking your value in todays market less than $750 as stated earlier the genuine marlins fetch more than the remlins

I bought this second hand, so trying to find the year of manufacture, from a google search due to serial number starting with 11, says 1999 manufacture, does this sound correct ?

Thanks Scotty, you are correct, so does that make it one of the genuine Marlin rifles?

yes .....if your up to it give it a birthday before trying to sell it without spending too much (maybe oil up the stock and try a bit of cold blue on the metalwork but your always gonna be looking at no more than $750 imo remember its a buyers market right now ), mine was a 1974 build and I bought it off the original owner that brought it in from the US and I paid $750 for the bare rifle , the laquer was peeling off the stock but other than that it was mint . so gives you an idea of value.

Thanks Scotty , I appreciate your help, just having a major clean out of what isn’t being used any more. I have a Ruger 7x57 which will cover any hunting I plan on doing.
