Thread: Marlin 795 feeding problems

The bit I bent (ejector) affected how high the cartridges sat in the mag once the mag was inserted in the gun. It held them down off the mag lips and although the breech bolt still picked them up on the way fwd they wouldn't chamber correctly and ended up crooked and sometimes bent. I bent the ejector somehow whilst reassembling the gun with a new Boyds stock. I tried all sorts - different mags, different ammo, bending the mag lips (always a disaster) and then went back to basics in that the gun had worked perfectly b4 I had it apart.
