    marlin lever with a suppressor?

i am wondering if anyone has suppressed a marlin lever gun?
i have a project in my head and didnt want to reinvent the wheel if its all ready been done.
i am thinking of shortening the mag tube on a guide gun and fitting an over barrel to butt up to the stock.
then get a blade fitted to the front of the suppressor and fit a raised peep to the reciver.
the idea is to have a hard hitting and easily subsonic rifle without glass optics that just get covered in droplets of water or fog.
    thaughts?

I do like the Idea of an iron sighted subsonic big bore. sight alignment as the threads start to get tired could be an issue. Im thinking a EBS type suppressor on a stainless lever gun that goes right back to the receiver would solve that that has a set screw to align and hold it. grease the barrel and bobs your uncle.
next problem will be that the irons are higher than the stock was set up to suit, so a lever set up to take a scope would be a good start point if you intend to keep the fast handling properties that lever shooters love.
if you could remove what ever holds the tube mag to the barrel so you can fit the EBS type then hold the tube their with a ruger 1022 type barrel clamp that would mean you can keep the large mag if nessary. which will be handy if the kill isnt clean which is common with subsonic rifles.
if you do go ahead with this please do post photos, I am very interested in the idea

Yeah that looks pretty cool. You could use it for Zombies Gimp.

i like the look of that!
the holo site tho would be no good for me as i would like to stick with irons for this project.
the only problem i can see is the front sight alignment when i take the suppressor off and reinstall it.
what is the chances i could fit something that will hold zero?

yea. a permanently fitted supp would get around that.

an ebs with a grub screw would hold true

went back and had another look at this project, the sights are currently 370mm appart if i move the blade to the back of the supp. then fit a peep to the back of the reciever the distance will be 370mm
sweet, that will do for me the sight radius will be good enough.
best part is scopeing it will be a quick tip off type setup.
