I know this is an old thread, but I now am in a similar though worse situation than the member who created the thread. I have lost the trigger guard of my Marlin XS7. How could such a thing happen? Well, the tigger guard had a fracture near the rear bolt and the front screw would not hold tight. This resulted in the trigger guard falling off the rifle and being lost while bush-bashing through some heavy leatherwood in the Ruahines last weekend. Happy to say that I was still able to shoot a deer on this hunt, but I could really feel how vulnerable the trigger is without a guard when hunting in heavy bush. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could obtain a replacement trigger guard? From an earlier post, I understand that the trigger guard of the Marlin 925 can be used as a replacement, but the only website I could find that would post this to NZ is https://www.boydsgunstocks.com/, which is going to charge ~US$95 for the postage. Any advice would be much appreciated!
