Barrel is standard hammer forged brno. As stated above the barrel will be subjected to proof loads and will then be retired to subs only. The bore is severely pitted and very little rifling remains, thus the blase attitude towards it's survival. I'm not going to be a dumb arse and shoot full house loads from the shoulder after the job. Ball end cutter will be the go as i'm not prepared to fork out hundreds for a dedicated multi tooth fluting cutter. First thing is first, removing the barrel (mill bed isn't big enough to accommodate both barrel and action). Time to draw up a wrench![]()
