    Maxtoch Headlamp

Not sure if I have posted this in the correct place? I have a Maxtoch H01R headlamp that is giving intermittent problems. Can these still be repaired by a member ( not sure if he is still current) by Gadgetman? If not does anyone know of any other members able to look at it? Being such a good unit I'm reluctant to get rid of it if it's economically viable to be repaired.
    Thanks.

I'm sure he was involved with the original design of Maxtoch (which was made in China) before the Chinese did the dirty on the guys from here and began making their own design behind the Kiwi guys back. This was a few years ago now.

Think he's having a break for a couple of weeks, then doing the lighting systems as a secondary employment.

It's not, him and mudgripz developed them but neither are particularly active on here currently, gadget was always happy to look at maxtochs as long as they were ones that were sold before they got sold out buy the manufacturer. I have 2 2x shooters and a head torch I bought from mudgripz and they are the shiz

The basic checks on them which you could do yourself to help the process along, contacts clean and connected, wiring not damaged or pulled and plugs in place, LED board and internals in the headlamp all connected and make sure the switch isn't covered in crud. Some of the bits can be a little funky to get to, but it's not like it's a space rocket! Hopefully going through those bits you'll find the issue and it will start playing nicely. Start with the easy to get to stuff, and then work in deeper.

Thanks dannyb. I bought my 2x shooter and headlamp a long time before they were sh*t on.
