    McMillan stocks

Looking at buying one of these for my Model 7, I'm hoping to get any and all feed back from current owners.
Do they need bedding? Or is it a drop in fit? Level of finish over say a Stug stock? Best place to buy?
    Cheers

Head along to the Sika Expo this weekend - NZ Composites are a very good option (and a heap cheaper than McMillan), not sure about bedding requirement for a Remington, but I now have one for an 85 short action Finnlight & the fit & finish is awesome!! If you are coming down for the Toby Shoot, I can bring both options along for a look if this helps?

I had the McMillan Hunter's Edge priced through DED after last year's Sika Expo - was looking at $1300 (cannot recall the exchange rate at the time - my apologies), NZ Composites did my stock for $1,034 (albeit it took a heap of time because they were developing the program for Sako stocks....). Should be noted that the Remington stocks are cheaper as they are an off the shelf item (as are Tikka stocks).

I got in contact through Facebook after a friend advised that they were now doing Sako stocks - https://www.facebook.com/Kiwi-Compos...7046102329668/
They are very quick to respond, and good with communication via this medium. PM me if you need more detail.

...would hope so with FX rate at $0.72+ at present... I do like supporting the local guys if possible and they do have a pretty good turnaround for Remmy's & Tikka's

Yep I have one on my 6.5TCU and its great for what it gets used for (mainly range shooting) I did find it a bit slippery when your hands are sweaty after climbing hills, Skateboard tape fixed that. I also have a Hunter Edge on my 6.5SAUM, Also very good I would rate it slightly better than Kens Stock only because its not slippery this one is/wad bedded before I picked it up from the supplier
