Thread: MDT Chassis

Which chassis are you talking about, the MDT21, HS3 or LSS?

I've got a LSS and personally think it is best suited to a compact rifle with a combined barrel length of no more than 20" when suppressed. Otherwise it looks a bit out of proportion with the short hand guard. They have recently released a longer version where the forend is the same length as tradional stocks.

I've got it on a Rem 700 .223/.308 which will soon be with 16" barrels. Currently its got a 20" heavy barrel. One thing I noticed is that the area behind the triggerguard where the pistol grip attaches is a bit wide and square edged for the magpul MOE + grip I'm using and was a bit uncomfrtable. Nothing 5 minutes with the Dremel and a repaint didn't fix. Alternatively a wider grip would have solved the problem.

Otherwise a well made and finished stock.
