    Measuring Barrel Length

A question for the Simthys or experts.
This came up in a conversation between a group of mates.

How do you measure barrel length?
    a. from a bolt face (closed bolt) to the muzzle?
    b. from the receiver face to the muzzle?
    c. none of the above

    A.

    From what I've read.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

....and a kitchen peg on the cleaning rod where it meets the crown. Then measure distance.

Yep, A. Make sure your bolt is cocked, so no firing pin exposed. Good tip with the peg, or a felt pen.

The industry standard is the length of the barrel before it is screwed into the action, but option A is close enough (about 3mm longer than advertised length).
