My 10 x 25 Leica's are great for general hunting but do lose a bit first thing in the morning and last light. Very light and compact which is why I gave them to the missus and bought a pair of 10 x 42s.

I have the Swaro 8x25 CL and love them. I looked at the Leica's as I already had a pair of 8x32 Ultravids but they only do a 10x25 which I did not want. While the 8x32s are fantastic glass and already pretty compact the 8x25s are so much more portable. I read all this stuff about last light etc but the reality is there is only about a minute between them and both will see darker than I am prepared to take a shot.
I think the mistake most make is getting the 10 power version, if they made a 6 or 7 power version I would have bought those. For the dedicated tops hunter these are not for you but as an all round pair that you will not leave behind because they are too bulky to carry up the steep hill, perfect.
