Did anyone go to the militaria auction in Wellington and was there a good turn out?
Did anyone go to the militaria auction in Wellington and was there a good turn out?
And does anyone know what the m14 sold for
You obviously didn't get there @jim160
Had one mate going both days.
I had a few items of interest but in the end didn't even put in a postal. Could have got my mate to bid I suppose. Now need to wait patiently (Ted is usually quick) for the prices realised - then I can slash my wrists or not, as the case may be.
It was mostly rats and mice though - cartridge cases etc. Most serious interest was in the Sykes fighting knives and the CZ 22s
Thanks zimmer, first time bidding on one of the auctions for me.
EDIT, prettu sure i missed out, the webiste says to email to info@militaria.co.nz, on the form it says to email rogersmb@xtra.co.nz
Not getting conformation of your bid being received seems common at the NZ auctions so I wouldn't worry about that to much. Both those emails would get to Ted

How much did the Fairburn-Sykes knives go for?
@Danger Mouse the lot 1369 sold for $1200.
Wow. Bit of coin for a 303. Mind you not many left.
SMLE mk3 sold for $700 ish. No4s and no5s didn't sell as high.
Stuff was higher than what I wanted to pay but I got the 444 Marlin I wanted.
thanks jim, i missed out with my postal bid, had a max of $1301
