About LinkBacksYou won't want a barrel shorter than 20" (i.e a 18" one) or you will run into trouble keeping it above the legal length of 762mm Ruger mentions. My 500 has a 18 inch barrel and if I were to fit a pistol grip it falls just under an inch too short. If I put a folding stock on it might give it the little bit extra length it needs. I prefer a stock but each to their own eh.
