Thread: Mossberg MVP?

Are these available in NZ?

I never thought I'd be asking that about a Mossberg, but I have an idea in my head and this rilfe would be a good base.

why would you want a mossberg?

Get aftermarket bottom metal and use AICS .223 mags, they allow a longer OAL and hold 10 rounds which is heaps

if you have to go to that effort why not go with a remington 700 and get the bottom metal

more than likely easier and cheaper, and its not a mossberg.

that's what I was talking about with bottom metal. Howa, 700, etc. CDI, Badger, Roedale, blah blah blah there's a billion of them and AI mags are pretty cheap/good

Probably cheaper than fucken AR mags in this country thanks to pricks selling them for 10x what they're worth

I've got AR mags for africa, so I would like to utalise these. I prefer a bolt action in the bush (AR's are shit-house to carry for any length of time), so ideally I'd have a bolt action with a flush fitting 5 shot AR mag for 99% of the time, then if need be I can switch it out for the 20 shot clip/s if I come across a serious mob of goats on a slip that need dealing too.

But yeah - it is a Mossberg and that kind of makes me feel unclean even talking about it.

Use a two point sling

two point sling with the ejection port side away from your body, either leather or something springy thats up tight to hold it steady

do you really think you would use a mosberg with that in your safe beside it?
