    Mrs wants another 22lr

So Mrs northdude is doing quite well and enjoying 22lr comps. They are sporter rifle style comps and she uses a scope. Currently she is using a sav mk2 which works ok but as a lot of you will know after a while you start to think about getting something a little bit better. She's right handed so there's plenty of options there. i think we are leaning more towards a nice second hand one along the lines of some kind of brno, annie walther. Or new a zastava cz99 might be ok ive had one myself and it had a nice adjustable trigger and was well made and accurate don't want a poxy jw. It will be used as a bunny possum shooter as well. Any others to consider..

well i splurged on a rossi 22mag semi and its great, if the 22lr version is as good it would be worth considering.

My Brno 2E is a damned fine and accurate rifle. Norinco spare mags fit it. Have seen some on T/M for $600+

I have an Annie 1415-1416, its a Walnut stocked jobbie that I was running for competitions. A very good shooter and very smooth with a 5 and 10 shot mag - the 10 shotter is a savage one I adapted, it has the occasional FTF. Has a 14" threaded (shortened) barrel. Very nice two stage trigger. Will shoot pretty consistent .5 -.6 groups at 50 Y, with the occasional one down in the 0.2's and 0.3's. with Eley Club ammo. For sale (3 day trial if you like) for $750 bare rifle - could deliver round 5th November.

Sako finnfire 2 or quad with 22 barrel. With a spare sako 5 shot mag for comps (wont need it for hunting).
Low bolt lift makes it easier to mount a scope than on a CZ.
Shoots ok, functions well, feels good, looks nice, atactical.

But you will find it hard to get a second hand one.

I believe Weihrauch also make nice hunting 22s.

    I totally understand that attitude.

if only the Chinese would revolt and hang all the CCP members for the world to see.
Then we could trust them again.

come and see me at the shop. I’ll show your wife a range of .22’s that might take her fancy.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Not sure what your looking to spend but the tikka T1x could definitely be worth a look.

A bit of a conundrum as $700 will just get you into a reasonable quality second hand but not new high end.
I personally own the lithgow which is more the quality build of a nice centre fire.
The cz 455 or 457 are also a well finished and reasonably accurate.
A mate has the tactical style savage which also shoots really well.
    Hmmmm!
