First time i have heard of the P14/17 action not being strong, gunsmiths i spoke to about them rate them right up there with K98 mauser mod 70 actions etc. it must be a myth like the 96 mauser being shit

.458 Win Mag there are some nice conversions done on the p14 and you can load 45-70 level all the way up to max.

Seen a few Mauser 96 actioned rifles being sold under the brand name stiga in 270 and 30-06 although alot of people say they are not strong enough but it was the old krag actioned 6.5x55's that got a bad rep for being weak
